Cutting all ties from America had been a hell of a lot easier than Jazmine had expected it to be. Ever since the night she’d been woken up by a phone call from Tendo telling her what had happened with her brothers, she’d felt almost like there was very little holding her to Alaska. And when Raleigh had basically vanished, any tether she’d had holding her to the place she’d grown up with had gone. Even when she’d moved to just outside the exclusion zone in San Francisco, she hadn’t felt like she belonged there either, and her work with Derek had definitely not been anything she had wanted to continue with anything longer than she had to.
Hong Kong had been a breath of fresh air for the youngest Becket. Having already made contact with the shatterdome, offering her jaeger knowledge (and kaiju black market contacts) as part of proving she would be an asset at the dome, she’d been working on organising herself for moving out of the small apartment she’d been in for the last few months and into the shatterdome. Of course, she had no idea how she was going to get in contact with Raleigh to tell him she was even in Hong Kong, but that was apparently something that fate was going to make her sort out anyway.
Having returned from a quick food run, a bag from the sushi restaurant down the street looped over one arm with an iced tea in her hand, she was in the middle of looking for her keys when she heard a voice she hadn’t heard in what felt like an eternity, making her freeze before turning to look. There had been so much that had gone unsaid with them ever since he’d disappeared, but all that seemed to be gone in a wave of emotion that her brother was here.
”Raleigh. Hey,” she started, before laughing slightly “…wow, that sounded seriously awkward.”

- ✗ - physical scar
Training hyenas isn’t exactly the simplest task in the world, and Harley picked up numerous scars over the time it took her to teach Bud and Lou to practically be overgrown puppies around her. One of the nastier ones is a ring of teeth marks on the back of her left calf, where Bud bit her leg.
- ✧ - emotional/mental scar
Everything that happened during the Joker’s sickness took its toll on Harley quite considerably. From the moment she sprung him out of Arkham before the guards could try and kill him the the moment she saw Batman carrying his body out of the Monarch Theatre took a heavy toll on Harley’s mental state as she was forced to step up and run the gang in the Joker’s place. His death at - as she saw at the time - Batman’s hands, caused her to snap, leading to the practically suicidal attempt to kill Batman by blowing up the Steel Mill. Though she knew she was pregnant during the endeavour, all of the stress and worry of the months spent within the walls of Arkham City finally caught up to her and she couldn’t see any other way to stop hurting than to try and take down the man she saw as responsible for her lover’s death, and if she died in the endeavour, then so be it. And in all honesty, Harley hasn’t been quite the same since.
